Advanced Practice Provider - Inpatient Surgical Services
Piedmont Healthcare is on the lookout for a dedicated and proficient Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to become a vital part of our Surgical Services team within the Piedmont Transplant Institute. This position offers an exceptional chance to engage in a range of specialized surgical procedures, including liver, kidney, and pancreas transplants, as well as living donor nephrectomies and liver resections. Candidates may also have the opportunity to enhance their expertise through training in laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques.

In this role, you will primarily undertake first assist responsibilities in the operating room, along with rounding and managing post-operative patients during their hospital stay.


As one of the leading transplant programs in the nation, the Piedmont Transplant Institute excels in patient outcomes, transplant volumes, and community engagement.

Annually, we conduct around 350 kidney transplants and 150 liver transplants.

This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with a large team of inpatient APPs who work closely with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, and hepatologists.

Requirements
• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program with National Board Certification

or
  • Licensed Nurse with approval to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia, holding National Certification

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing, OR completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a valid license from the Georgia State Composite Board.

Minimum Experience Required
No prior experience required.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required By Law
Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia, or Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP, FNP, WHNP).
