At Amgen, we're pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the field of oncology. As a Senior Principal Imaging Scientist, you'll play a critical role in driving our mission to serve patients worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of imaging strategies to support our oncology portfolio, working closely with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and analyze imaging studies.
  • Collaborate with imaging, clinical development, and clinical operation leads to formulate appropriate imaging biomarker strategies, ensuring seamless integration with our clinical programs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on response criteria, including RECIST, PCWG3, Lugano, and RANO, and troubleshoot site issues that may impact them.
  • Translate and utilize novel imaging modalities, such as PET, in early clinical oncology studies, and work with clinical teams and Precision Medicine to support the utilization of AI-driven image analysis tools (Radiomics).
  • Develop and deliver training to study teams on imaging response criteria, ensuring a deep understanding of our imaging strategies.
What We're Looking For:
  • A Doctorate degree in a relevant field, such as PhD, PharmD, or MD, with relevant post-doc experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of pharmaceutical and/or diagnostics experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of pharmaceutical and/or diagnostics experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in clinical research, preferably within an imaging CRO or a pharmaceutical company, with expertise in imaging modalities, including CT, MRI, and PET.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to break down complex imaging concepts and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
