Environmental Cleaning Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Technician to join our team at GREAT PLAINS HEALTH. As an Environmental Services Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the hospital and clinics, including patient rooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, offices, public areas, restrooms, surgery suites, and labor and delivery rooms. This will involve daily tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping, damp wiping, removing trash, high/low dusting, pushing carts, stripping and making beds, and responding to pager requests in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Clean all areas of the hospital and clinics, including patient rooms, exam rooms, treatment rooms, offices, public areas, restrooms, surgery suites, and labor and delivery rooms.
- Perform daily tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, dust mopping, wet mopping, damp wiping, removing trash, high/low dusting, pushing carts, stripping and making beds.
- Respond to pager requests in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 17 years old and currently enrolled in high school or an equivalent educational program.
- No state or GPH required credentials.
Working Conditions:
This is a regular part-time position with varied shifts. The successful candidate must be able to stand constantly throughout the day, walk frequently, and occasionally sit prolonged periods each day. They must also be able to bend, stoop, and crouch constantly, climb eight steps on a stationary ladder occasionally, push/pull 10# resistance frequently, and lift from floor to 35 inches off floor up to 20 lbs. frequently; lift from 7 inches to 44 inches off floor up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Additionally, they must be able to throw from 12 inches off floor to 44 inches off the floor up to 40 lbs. occasionally and 20 lbs. frequently, carry up to 30 lbs. 100 feet occasionally, and work in special sterile areas such as Surgery or isolation rooms.
Salary: $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience.
