Job Summary

The Marketing and PR Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting the Marketing and Public Relations Manager in ensuring that marketing standards are adhered to in the execution of local advertising, social media, direct mail, online and in-house marketing executions for MDM Group hotels and corporate office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation of graphic design materials such as newsletters, postcards, flyers, brochures, print and online advertising and other marketing materials.
  • Execute social media strategies across various social media platforms maintaining a consistent and engaging user experience.
  • Liaison with outside partners for the coordination of production of marketing materials.
  • Interact with other hotel departments to gather and research information necessary to assist in formulating marketing messages with specific promotional information.
  • Assist the Marketing and Public Relations Manager in liaison with outside public relations agencies to communicate hotel happenings and promotions.
  • Assist in the coordination of site visits from journalists visiting the hotel.
  • Participate in strategy discussions for creating marketing and public relations programs for various revenue centers of the hotel including restaurants, spa, retail and others.
Requirements
  • Understands resort and travel industry.
  • Basic marketing project management experience including graphic design.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • An ability to listen effectively and to communicate with vendors and employees as well as handle administrative duties when necessary.
