About the Role

Arcfield is seeking a highly skilled Junior System Engineer to join our team of experts in digital transformation, space mission engineering, and launch assurance. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing end-to-end models of complex systems, collaborating with other engineers, and implementing modern digital engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Systems Modeling: Collaborate with other engineers to develop architecture and behavior models of complex systems using Systems Modeling Languages (SysML, UAFML).
  • Satellite Mission Analysis: Develop physics-based and mathematics-based models of satellite missions using commercial and custom simulation tools, scripts, and macros.
  • Digital Engineering Solutions: Identify and implement modern digital engineering solutions to traditional engineering processes.
  • Integrated Product Teams: Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) and Engineering working groups that review and assess the maturity of engineering artifacts, CONOPs, system interfaces, and architecture products.
  • Decision Support: Assist with decision support and technical consultation, meeting coordination, and leading the development of initial recommendations for government decision-makers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or a related technical or scientific field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience with a BS degree.
  • Clearance: Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI Clearance with Poly.
  • Skills: Familiarity with industry space-based remote sensing capabilities, understanding of basic digital engineering concepts, professional oral and written communication skills, and strong business acumen.
  • Desired Qualifications: Experience with Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) tools, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, Object-Oriented Programming languages, and Atlassian productivity tools.
