Responsibilities

We are seeking seasoned engineers to join a highly skilled and respected team focused on Space Protection-related Modeling and Simulation Analysis. The ideal candidate will possess domain expertise in various space and ground platforms as well as sensor phenomenology. As part of this team, you will engage in the development, customization, maintenance, and utilization of a comprehensive suite of engineering models and simulators to facilitate predictive analysis of intricate systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting evaluations of threat avoidance strategies (course of action) for space protection.
  • Creating, maintaining, and delivering integrated software tools designed to assess the implementation of satellite protection technologies and methodologies throughout the system engineering lifecycle.
  • Executing modeling and simulation to support the development and customization of software, algorithms, and technologies.
  • Performing orbital analyses and trade studies.
  • Conducting maneuver determination and analysis.
  • Engaging in campaign modeling and scenario development, modeling, and analysis.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience, Master's degree with 6-8 years, or PhD with 3-5 years.
  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience in space protection evaluations and collision avoidance assessments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; adept at using logic and reasoning to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various technical solutions or approaches.
  • Knowledge of the intelligence community and a demonstrated understanding of user requirements and operational contexts.
  • Familiarity with the systems engineering lifecycle, including independent testing and data verification.
  • Experience in developing modeling and simulation engineering code to address complex challenges and establish repeatable processes.

Desired:

  • Background in Radar and Electro-optical Engineering.
  • Experience in Atmospheric Modeling.
  • Proficiency in Data Mining, Analysis, Performance Analysis, Predictive Analytics, and Reporting using diverse methods and tools.
  • Experience in developing software applications and data architectures that support systems engineering and development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with formal Software Testing methodologies.
  • Degree in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software), Imaging Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
