Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to become a vital part of our team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems within a cleanroom setting, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards pertinent to semiconductor manufacturing. A background in electrical construction is highly advantageous.

This is a full-time onsite role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough requirements analysis for clients, effectively communicating project specifications and collaborating with both internal and external design teams regarding electrical systems.
  • Clarify project specifications and scope of work with stakeholders.
  • Support the procurement team in sourcing electrical systems equipment and materials, as well as assisting in contractor selection.
  • Interpret isometric drawings, P&ID, and CAD designs specifically related to electrical systems.
  • Oversee the installation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Monitor ongoing work to confirm that quality standards are met and that construction timelines are adhered to.
  • Review and adjust work schedules based on progress reports, material usage, costs, and contract payment applications.
  • Address Requests for Information (RFIs) and manage change orders effectively.
  • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports for internal and client communications.
  • Identify and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Manage scheduling and execution of project timelines.
  • Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and estimation.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in electrical system planning.
  • Experience in construction is required; semiconductor construction experience is a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of high and low voltage power systems, lighting, fire protection, broadcasting, and grounding systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD and Primavera.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all dealings.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on project demands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with employees, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
  • Willingness to work in a construction site environment.

Language Proficiency:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin/Taiwanese is an advantage.
  • Ability to present information clearly and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for transporting materials. The role involves prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent movement between the construction trailer and various site locations.
