We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Department Supervisor to join our Retail team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Merchandise Coordination: Orchestrates truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, and ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Team Leadership: Trains and mentors Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, monitors productivity, and coaches as necessary.
- Customer Experience: Ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store.
- Store Operations: Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards, organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment, and ensures compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs.
- Leadership Experience: 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience.
- Communication Skills: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Teamwork: Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
