We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Unit Coordinator to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As a Medical Unit Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursing units, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Perform secretarial and clerical duties, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Act as a communication center for the nursing unit, responding to patient and staff inquiries.
- Perform specific patient care procedures under the direction of a licensed Nurse, such as bedside testing.
- Operate patient monitoring systems and assist with the operation of the nursing or clinical department.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Clinical experience or completion of a Unit Secretary course preferred.
- Must successfully complete competency verification before starting on assigned unit.
- BLS Certification required at time of hire.
