Bilingual Support Specialist
Reporting Relationship:
Lead Case Manager
Position Overview:
The Bilingual Support Specialist will collaborate closely with the Case Manager and Lead Case Manager within the reunification program. This role is essential in ensuring that case management services are delivered effectively and promptly to youth.
The specialist is expected to maintain a flexible, organized, and efficient work schedule, with the possibility of extended hours and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
The Bilingual Support Specialist will be responsible for:
- Ensuring youth are accurately enrolled in the internal intake system.
- Completing and securing an inventory of personal belongings and valuables of youth.
- Filing and uploading necessary placement documents to the appropriate software.
- Facilitating regular communication with families, primary caregivers, and sponsors.
- Coordinating legal service presentations and facilitating attorney-client communications.
- Providing transportation for clients to various appointments as required.
- Creating and maintaining client intake files with essential documentation.
- Assisting with the overall maintenance of records in both physical and electronic formats.
- Coordinating travel arrangements for staff involved in youth reunification.
- Ensuring follow-up services are conducted post-reunification.
- Demonstrating organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A High School Diploma; a BA or BS Degree is preferred.
- A minimum of four years of experience in a professional environment.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in using various technology and software applications.
