About the Role

We're seeking college construction graduates for this entry-level salaried position, which is a stepping stone to becoming a Craft Superintendent, Superintendent, or Project Engineer.

The primary goal of a Field Engineer is to gain knowledge on how projects are built and managed by Crossland field personnel.

You'll spend most of your time in the field assisting with day-to-day operations and putting work in place.

This position is typically held for 1-3 years while being trained, and promotion is determined by commitment, ambition, knowledge, and attitude.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Plan and monitor jobsite safety
  • Study plans and specifications to gain an overall understanding of the project
  • Layout for the entire project, including total station and GPS layout
  • Quality control for the project, including pre-pour checklists and recording information for as-built drawings
  • Gather quantities for work in place and report cost control meetings and pay applications
  • Assist in sub-contractor control and scheduling
  • Document the project, including daily reports, three-week schedules, timekeeping, and equipment reports
  • Assist in procurement of materials and organization on the jobsite

You'll also be responsible for taking daily and weekly photos for documentation purposes, uploading them to Box, and emailing them to the Board on the third Friday of each month.

Additionally, you'll be responsible for upfront documentation of the project job-site conditions through video and pictures, protecting and caring for company-owned assets, and knowing all subcontractors' scope of work.
