Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Admissions Counselor to join our team at Phoenix Job Corps. As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process, providing information, and ensuring a smooth transition into our educational and vocational programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Outreach and Engagement

    Actively engage with potential students to provide information about Phoenix Job Corps and its programs, ensuring they are aware of the opportunities available to them.

  • Admissions Guidance and Support

    Assist prospective students in navigating the admissions process, providing detailed information on program offerings, admission requirements, and any other relevant details.

  • Individualized Counseling and Support

    Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to understand the unique needs and goals of each prospective student, offering personalized guidance on program selection and career paths.

  • Application Processing and Management

    Manage the admissions application process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.

  • Collaboration with Departments and Stakeholders

    Work closely with various departments within Phoenix Job Corps, including academic and vocational programs, to coordinate and facilitate a seamless transition for admitted students.

  • Community Partnerships and Outreach

    Establish and maintain positive relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance awareness and facilitate student recruitment.

  • Data Management and Compliance

    Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospective and admitted students, ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

Requirements

An associates degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or a closely related field is required, with two years of related experience. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, with experience in successful Job Corps enrollment or other youth development programs.
