Design and Develop High-Reliability Electronics

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our Starlink team at SpaceX. As an expert in electrical design, you will play a crucial role in developing highly reliable electronics for communicating with our satellites.

About the Role

In this position, you will:

  • Design, develop, and test complex electrical designs for our satellite communication system.
  • Evaluate third-party electrical and design integration solutions to ensure reliable operation of Starlink.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing, to deliver tightly integrated hardware.
Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, hardware bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, and testing of complex electrical designs.
  • Collaborating with engineers from adjacent disciplines to deliver high-performance hardware.
  • Working closely with production, satellite integration, and flight teams to ensure successful launch and operation of our satellites.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electrical design, development, and testing of complex systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electromagnetics, and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
