Insurance Advisor-Direct to Consumers

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Advisor-Direct to Consumers to join our team at Weichert Insurance Agency. As an Insurance Advisor-Direct to Consumers, you will be responsible for developing an active pipeline of leads through prospecting, networking, and business development in local markets and across the country.
Key Responsibilities:- Achieve assigned sales objectives, including total policies, agency commission, and type of policy.
- Develop an efficient cross-selling/account rounding strategy to sell multiple insurance products to new and existing clients.
- Participate in community-based marketing events and networking organizations to establish an agency presence conducive to generating new sales opportunities.
- Work with the Special Projects Team to move business from prior carriers as eligible Weichert-appointed carriers, while being mindful of limitations resulting from prior employer non-solicit and non-compete agreements, if applicable.
- Refer non-core products (e.g. life, health, commercial) to qualified team members and provide partnering assistance to facilitate sales for the team.
- Follow a front-line underwriting process to place new insurance business with the proper insurance carriers, matching client needs with the appropriate insurance product at the best available cost to the client, while meeting profitability and growth objectives of partner carriers.
- Work in conjunction with WIA's Account Managers and Account Associates to deliver optimal customer service for new and existing customers to assist in maximizing Agency renewal income.
- Ensure all new customers are aware of the Agency's service delivery model and its commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all Agency workflows through the use of the Agency's client management system and other tools and processes.
- Attend meetings as scheduled by the VP of Business Development and/or other management staff as deemed appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Property and Casualty license required
- Life and health license preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Five (5) or more years of related sales experience required
- Previous experience in the insurance or related industry strongly preferred
- Ability to understand insurance policy wording and contracts
- Strong relationship building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
- Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.)
