Cosmetic Counter Manager

The Cosmetic Counter Manager plays a crucial role in driving sales and customer satisfaction at Belk. Reporting to the Sales Team Manager or Store Manager, this individual is responsible for ensuring the uniform execution of Belk's direction within their store.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet and exceed sales goals established by Belk and the cooperative vendor by coaching associates on how to sell custom-fit service and build long-term customer relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies to impact business, analyzing daily/weekly/monthly sales data and recommending actionable plans to Store Management and Vendor Account Executive.
- Recruit, interview, and retain quality staff, maintaining an average open position time of no more than 2 weeks.
- Develop bench strength in existing staff, recommending candidates for promotion or added responsibility.
- Implement effective scheduling to guarantee proper coverage at all times based on business needs, utilizing Belk's promotional calendar to maximize associate sales per hour (SPH).
- Communicate information clearly and consistently to the selling team, utilizing reinforcement techniques, asking for feedback, and setting goals and follow-up dates.
- Conduct team meetings prior to major events and launches, and brief Beauty Advisor touch-base meetings on a regular basis.
- Communicate inventory needs to store management.
- 3-5 years of retail experience, with 1-3 years of supervisory experience.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to use computer keyboard, standard telephone, POS terminal, and other related business equipment.
- Physical ability to push/pull pounds when moving stock carts, stocking requirements involving reaching above and below shoulder level, and lifting 25-50 pound boxes.
