Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on military vehicles, equipment, and facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and manage maintenance schedules to ensure the availability and readiness of all equipment and vehicles following standards.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities follow guidelines set forth in Technical Manuals (TMs), Field Manuals (FMs), and other regulatory documents.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards to maintain a safe and effective work environment.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and coordinate with the Quality Control and Supply teams to prioritize maintenance tasks, manage workload, and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in designated systems, including work orders, parts usage, and service logs.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the quality and efficiency of maintenance work, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge of equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize maintenance operations, reduce costs, and increase contract performance.
  • Liaise with customers, government representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with contract requirements and expectations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in military maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance standards, regulations, and technical manuals, especially within the program's scope.
  • Prior experience working on similar Department of Defense (DoD) logistics contracts.
  • Proficiency in using various maintenance management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Valid driver's license: ability to obtain a CDL License is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in maintenance or logistics management (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional - CMRP), desired.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies desired.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and noise.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and walking.
