Job Summary

We are seeking a hard-working Veterinary Assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician with a passion for animals and a drive to excel in a hospital committed to high-quality veterinary care and client service. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will assist doctors in appointments, client education, venipuncture, processing lab work, filling pharmacy prescriptions, and radiology.

Responsibilities
  • Assist doctors in appointments and client education
  • Perform venipuncture and process lab work
  • Fulfill pharmacy prescriptions and assist with radiology
  • Participate in diagnostic ultrasounds, echocardiograms, acupuncture, acupressure, physical rehabilitation, therapeutic laser, massage, and behavior consultations

Work Environment

The typical schedule is four days per week and two Saturday mornings per month. There are no overnights, major holidays, or Sundays. We offer a supportive and collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development and growth.

Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented and passionate about a career in a helping profession
  • Available to work at least two evenings until 6:30 p.m. and up to two Saturday mornings per month
