Clinical Faculty Position in Complex Adult Health

Chamberlain University is a leading institution in healthcare education, with a rich history of empowering professionals to make a difference in the lives of others. We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Faculty member to join our team in the Complex Adult Health program.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to teach and mentor students in our Complex Adult Health course. As a Clinical Faculty member, you will be responsible for implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement clinical experiences for nursing students, providing direct supervision and evaluation of their performance.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
- May teach didactic course content under the supervision of a course coordinator.
- Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
- Report to the dean or assistant dean, with a course coordinator providing direct oversight.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in Massachusetts.
- At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
- Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
- Genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care.
- Operate with a sense of responsibility and purpose, with the desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community.
- IL nursing license will be required before accepting any clinical contract for a given session.
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as type of course taught, experience and training, geographic location, licensure and certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibility.
