Insurance Broker Associate

We're seeking a dynamic Associate Broker to join our Atlanta, GA team, working directly with an established broker team.

This is a rare opportunity to support the clerical, administrative process, and management of a Broker's book, assisting in the placement of complex Excess & Surplus (E&S) property risks, with the goal of becoming a broker after a training period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, expand, and solidify relationships with clients at all levels, leading resources to address client needs, including risks and underwriting or policy issues.
  • Analyze market information to develop and implement creative strategies for clients.
  • Develop and acquire new business revenue from new and existing clients.
  • Prospect sectors and market areas by identifying business needs and proposing company products and services.
  • Retain knowledge of all markets to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements.
  • Service the designated book of business, relating to marketing, administration, and sales.
  • Monitor, identify, and develop new methods for processes and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with Quality Control guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a Four-Year College or University.
  • Sales and production driven mentality.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess the ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

Preferred:

  • Degree in insurance related discipline.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of insurance experience.
  • Active insurance P&C state license.
  • Experience with excess & surplus lines.
