Kettering Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infection prevention and control program, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct surveillance and analysis of infection control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement strategies to prevent and control infections.
- Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in infection prevention and control.
- Active Ohio Registered Nursing Licensure or National licensure in Laboratory Science, Epidemiology or other clinical area required.
- Certified Infection Preventionist (CIC) certification preferred.
