Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Hotel Restaurant Host to join our team at Omni Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist managers with opening and closing duties to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Greet and seat all guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Control heavy volume at the restaurant entrance, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor.
  • Clean menus daily to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Have knowledge of the entire resort property, including dining options and amenities.
  • Inform guests about all dining options and specials, providing recommendations and suggestions as needed.
  • Attend to and anticipate guests' needs, ensuring their satisfaction and delight.
  • Maintain familiarity with the menu and daily specials, making informed recommendations to guests.
  • Introduce servers to guests, ensuring a smooth and efficient service experience.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with guests and team members.
  • Prior host experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 10lbs, and move objects as needed.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts.
