Position Overview:
Assembler I is a full-time role on the first shift. New hires are eligible for a $500.00 hiring bonus after 90 days of employment, with a starting wage of $18.00/hr. Flexibility to work full-time, including overtime and Saturdays, is required.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The assembly process may necessitate the employee to operate at various stations throughout the workday, depending on staffing and production requirements.
Employees may rotate between different workstations or be assigned to specific areas based on their experience, training, and skill level.
Key Expectations:
- Understand and follow assembly instructions from procedures, drawings, and standard work guidelines.
- Conduct inspections and verify work according to established standards.
- Perform quality checks and testing as needed.
- Utilize power, pneumatic, Smart torque, and hand tools where applicable.
- Adhere to workplace and safety regulations.
- Exhibit strong verbal communication skills and contribute to maintaining a well-organized, safe, and clean work environment.
- Comprehend and support the company's vision and core business objectives.
- Actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives by sharing ideas and resolving issues at the lowest possible level.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Leak Check Nail Gun.
- Assembler I Criteria: Must achieve a minimum score of 13 on the Employee Performance Review (PMP).
- Must attain a score of 8/8 on item #7 during the Standard Work Audit conducted at the 6-month review.
- Complete 4 Safety Fixes and 4 to 7 Process Improvements annually (JDI, 9SPS, RIE).
- Execute 4 to 7 Quality Activities each year (Quality poka yoke or JDI aimed at improving DPPM, First Pass Yield, 9SPS, or RPN).
- Successfully complete 3/4 of Harvey Ball within the specified Manual Cycle Time.
- Ensure Employee Training Record is signed off as complete.
