Job Summary

Catholic Charities seeks an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Associate Vice President of Community-Based Programs and Food. This key executive will oversee all community-based programming across Cook and Lake counties, including food access programs and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee community centers, parish-based ministries, mobile response units, community meals, and senior meal delivery programs.
  • Cultivate partnerships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to bring together client needs, community partnerships, and programs with high levels of volunteer staffing.
  • Lead multiple teams towards shared goals, coach and develop team members, and cultivate a sense of shared purpose.
  • Ensure compliance with program and agency requirements, including background checks, physical examinations, TB testing, and driver's license verification.
Leadership and Supervision

The Associate Vice President will directly supervise a team of 5-7 staff members, including directors of parish-based ministries and community centers, and indirectly supervise other staff members.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as human services or business administration.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in human services or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
