Job Summary:
As a Medical Assistant, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our pediatric patients and families. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to our healthcare team, including scheduling appointments and phone messages.
- Assist with various health care services, including obtaining specimens and conducting routine lab studies.
- Support patient flow and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with the attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Previous outpatient experience preferred.
