Position Summary

The Senior Site Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations related to the service, repair, and comprehensive maintenance of aircraft and their engines. This position ensures that all aircraft are safe for flight and adhere to all regulatory standards. The manager will be responsible for the scheduling and timely execution of maintenance tasks, serving as a key advisor to maintenance teams on various projects and operational matters. The role also involves contributing to strategic decisions impacting functional responsibilities and resolving complex issues that arise during operations, necessitating collaboration with other departments.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience, professionalism, and a strong commitment to teamwork, responding effectively to the needs of the organization and its Department of Defense clients. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, this position is essential for the safe and efficient operation of company-owned aircraft. Maintenance personnel may be assigned to different work locations across the U.S. and should be prepared for travel as required to fulfill contract obligations.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in the aircraft maintenance field, ideally within military or government aviation maintenance sectors. Previous experience in a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor role is essential.
  • Proficient in scheduled tracking systems, ensuring compliance with all maintenance schedules as per established guidelines.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of aircraft, machinery, facilities, and equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the capability to provide technical guidance across all maintenance disciplines.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with technical terminology relevant to the field.
  • Willingness to travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. as necessary.
  • Possession of a valid State Driver License.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with high-performance military aircraft (e.g., F-5/T-38) is advantageous.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience, with a preference for progressive management background.
  • Training or certification in Lean Six Sigma or AS9100 is desirable.
Work Authorization
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.
  • Tactical Air Support maintains a Drug & Alcohol-Free Workplace. Pre-employment, random, or for-cause drug/alcohol testing (including for marijuana) is mandatory.
  • Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications are required.
  • Work may involve exposure to aircraft hangars or warehouse environments, including loud noises, engine fumes, chemicals, and varying climate conditions.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous materials may occur.
