As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to post-operative vascular and thoracic patients, including those requiring chest tubes and arterial bypasses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including monitoring their health, assessing their pain levels, and administering medication.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
