Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Administrator to join our team at FuelCell Energy. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of all shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform receiving functions, including verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material and arranging for the transportation of products.
  • Work with Accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies.
  • Schedule carriers to meet outbound shipping requirements.
  • Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and order fulfillment of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Unload goods, visually compare goods to packing lists, receive against purchase orders, and maintain records of received goods.
  • Ensure accuracy of shipments, timely delivery of all shipments, and resolve discrepancies according to procedures.
  • Packages and ships outgoing materials according to legal specifications, including shipping documentation and oversight of internal and external transporters.
  • Communicate routinely with customers regarding availability of stock and establish material routing priorities.
  • Moves heavy items using a forklift or other material handling equipment.
  • Inspects, distributes, and stocks materials in inventory.
  • Ensures that scales are calibrated.
  • Assists in yearly renewal of emergency response and DOT Pipeline certifications required for Hazardous Material shipments.
  • Maintains department metrics using internal computer-based applications.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in material handling/S&R required; other experience requiring use of forklift operations/motorized pallet jacks/powered industrial trucks will also be considered.
  • ERP System experience is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's license is required (CDL not required).
  • Ability to acquire and maintain forklift certification (company provided).
  • Ability to acquire and maintain HAZMAT certification (company provided).
