As a Local Truck Driver with Performance Foodservice, you will play a critical role in delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner. This is a unique opportunity to join a team that values relationships, growth, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Inspect tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and take appropriate action as needed.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Immediately report all safety hazards and inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with freight in an accurate and legible fashion.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and perform damage control checks.
  • Verify delivery of items with customers and obtain proper signatures, collect money (cash or checks) where required, and ensure that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean as required.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL A
  • 12 months commercial driving experience
