Job Title: Program Coordinator - Additive Manufacturing
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our Additive Manufacturing team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in preparing and coordinating plans and schedules for new or existing programs, determining and monitoring costs, operational budgets, and schedules, and resolving proposal preparation problems.
About the Role:
- Prepare and coordinate plans and schedules for new or existing programs
- Determine, monitor, and review costs, operational budgets, and schedules
- Support and participate in negotiations with customers
- Analyze effects of projects on various areas, such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool
- Resolve proposal preparation problems and assess progress against established plans and parameters
- Formulate and recommend corrective action measures, such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements
Responsibilities:
- Forecasting and project management
- Budgeting and invoicing
- Charge reconciliation and creating workflows
- Interacting with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience
- One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
- NNS Apprentice School graduate
- Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
- Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
- Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
- High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
- High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Nice to Have:
- Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint
- Understanding of project management, business operations, and finance
- Ability to generate, create, and understand financial reporting in Excel
- Ability to work independently under general supervision
- Self-starter
- Practical experience in project management through academic training and hands-on experience
- Strong communication skills
