Job Title: Program Coordinator - Additive Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our Additive Manufacturing team at Huntington Ingalls Industries. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a critical role in preparing and coordinating plans and schedules for new or existing programs, determining and monitoring costs, operational budgets, and schedules, and resolving proposal preparation problems.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and coordinate plans and schedules for new or existing programs
  • Determine, monitor, and review costs, operational budgets, and schedules
  • Support and participate in negotiations with customers
  • Analyze effects of projects on various areas, such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool
  • Resolve proposal preparation problems and assess progress against established plans and parameters
  • Formulate and recommend corrective action measures, such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting and project management
  • Budgeting and invoicing
  • Charge reconciliation and creating workflows
  • Interacting with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain management teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience
  • One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associate's Degree or other formal 2-year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

Nice to Have:

  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Understanding of project management, business operations, and finance
  • Ability to generate, create, and understand financial reporting in Excel
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision
  • Self-starter
  • Practical experience in project management through academic training and hands-on experience
  • Strong communication skills
