Job Opportunity at SMPsychotherapy & Counseling Services

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate therapist to join our team at SMPsychotherapy & Counseling Services. As a Home-Based Therapist, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality mental health services to clients in the comfort of their own homes.

About the Role

This is a part-time position that involves working with individuals and families to address a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues. You will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing therapy services in the client's home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to understand their unique needs, challenges, and treatment goals.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that are evidence-based and tailored to the client's specific needs.
  • Provide therapy services in the client's home, utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques to address emotional and psychological issues.
  • Be prepared to respond to and manage crisis situations when they arise, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Continuously evaluate and document client progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and maintain clear and accurate client records.
  • Work closely with other members of the SMPsychotherapy & Counseling Services team, including consulting with other therapists and clinical staff.
  • Offer support, education, and guidance to clients and their families, helping them develop coping strategies and improve their mental health.
Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT), and Clinical Psychologist). State licensure as a therapist (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Psychologist).
  • Experience in providing therapy to individuals and families, with a strong background in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to clients' homes within the designated service area.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to clients.
