Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Server to join our team at Hollywood Casino St. Louis. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain buffet lines and breaks with proper equipment, supplies, and decor.
  • Set tables with proper silverware, napkins, condiments, centerpieces, etc.
  • Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee, tea, and soft drinks.
  • Serve plated meals to guests, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Remove used plates, glassware, silverware, etc., from assigned areas.
  • Anticipate and provide for guests' needs throughout the entire function.
  • Provide optimal guest service to all guests and respond efficiently to guest concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure timely break down of banquet events.
  • Ensure that future events are set up for success.
  • Polish plates, silverware, and glassware.
  • Responsible for sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, etc.
  • Coordinate with Banquet staff and other restaurant personnel to provide excellent guest service.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous Banquet and/or restaurant service experience.
  • Knowledge of proper restaurant sanitation procedures.
  • Outgoing personality with exceptional work habits.
  • Must have open availability to work during peak periods.
  • Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, etc.
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Able to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
  • Able to multi-task efficiently.
Working Conditions

The Banquet Server will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 30 pounds. The ability to push, pull, carry, and lift is also required. The Banquet Server must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a mentally and physically demanding role.
