Job Summary

The Hendrick Automotive Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable/Cash Department Manager to join our team. As a key member of our consolidated accounting office, you will be responsible for leading and planning the AR/Cash Department, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, and streamlining effective processes that comply with Hendrick Automotive Group standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assists and trains new employees to ensure a smooth onboarding process
  • Ensures all team tasks are completed in a timely manner, meeting deadlines and expectations
  • Holds weekly meetings with the team to discuss progress, address concerns, and set goals
  • Reviews all accounts receivable and cash management schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Verifies related party receivable schedules are balanced and accurate
  • Works with dealership personnel to correct out-of-balance invoices and resolve issues
  • Ensures receivable statements are issued according to Hendrick Automotive Group guidelines
  • Reviews and verifies daily reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assists in end-of-month balancing of cash-clearing accounts
  • Assists the sales tax compliance team as needed
  • Balance and close daily deposits
  • Scans all daily deposits through the UTA check scanner
  • Ensures cash clearing is balanced daily for all stores
  • Adjusts service and parts tickets as needed
  • Maintains deposit files following Hendrick Automotive Group retention policy
  • Verifies all monies received have been deposited on the same day
  • Maintains effective employee relations and promotes a positive work environment
  • Promotes and maintains good ESI (Employee Service Index)
Requirements
  • Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions and solve problems
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers and dealership personnel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Proficient in required mathematical skills, including the ability to handle accounts payable
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
Environment Demands

Duties are performed primarily in the dealership office. Work includes several hours a day analyzing financial records of the dealership, posting accounts, and performing other administrative tasks. The office manager frequently interacts with other employees and members of management.
