Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Palmyra Harbour Condominium Associa. This is a permanent full-time position that requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the property, including general cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance of common areas and buildings. Work involves outdoor tasks in a beautiful setting along the river.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily drive-throughs to retrieve trash and/or bulk items, requiring a valid driver's license.
  • Report any sighted issues to management promptly.
  • Complete assigned service requests and special projects within specified timelines.
  • Clean gutters and perform ground-level tree and bush trimmings.
  • Load and unload equipment and tools into work vehicles as necessary.
  • Maintain a well-organized shop facility.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team and contractors when needed.
  • Remove snow from sidewalks and plow parking lots (plowing experience is an asset).
  • Repair asphalt cracks and potholes.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have the physical ability to handle the demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with management, board members, contractors, and residents.
  • Bonus points for basic electrical and plumbing knowledge.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary estimated at around $45,000 per year, considering the local market and industry standards. Additional benefits include:

  • Access to on-site tools and equipment.
  • A stable and predictable Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Education and Experience

Prior maintenance experience is preferred but not mandatory if you're willing to learn and adapt quickly.
