About the Role:

Vaco is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our team and support our retail client in analyzing data and providing insights that drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of data analysis and some experience in the retail sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and grow within the field of data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering and preparing data from various sources, including sales, inventory, and customer data.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through preliminary data cleaning and validation processes.
  • Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in retail data.
  • Support the development of reports and dashboards that highlight key performance indicators and insights.
  • Create and update reports and visualizations to communicate data findings to the client and internal teams.
  • Assist in presenting data insights in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Work closely with the client to understand their data needs and provide timely and accurate information.
  • Respond to data-related queries and support the client's analytics needs as required.
  • Conduct basic market research to support the client's business strategies.
  • Analyze customer feedback and purchasing patterns to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Some experience or internships related to data analysis, preferably with a focus on retail or consumer-facing industries.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or SAP.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present data insights clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a client-facing role.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of data analytics.
