Key Responsibilities:
As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for preparing basic food items in accordance with standardized menus and recipes, as well as following verbal instructions from supervisors. Your duties will include:
- Preparing salads, dressings, and simple desserts
- Cooking various items such as sandwiches, pancakes, and eggs
- Cleaning, chopping, and slicing fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses
- Operating commercial kitchen equipment including mixers and slicers
- Ensuring food presentation meets quality standards
- Transporting food between kitchen and service areas, cleaning tables, and maintaining a tidy work environment
- Assisting with cashiering duties as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of food handling, cleanliness, and customer service
- Valid Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Adherence to workplace conduct and policies
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of experience in food service
- ServSafe Certification
Additional Information:
Compensation: $23.64 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
This position may involve exposure to various environmental factors such as noise, heat, and cold, and requires physical activity including standing, lifting, and moving.
