Job Summary

The Senior Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller role is a critical position within Clare Holdings LLC, responsible for planning and directing the company's accounting activities. This role will oversee the recording of financial transactions, maintain account reconciliation schedules, supervise accounting staff, and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Develop and implement financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Reconcile and analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor internal controls to prevent financial misstatements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in drafting annual budgets and forecasts to support business growth and strategic planning.
  • Train and develop accounting staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and standards to ensure compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a senior or management role.
  • Experience with financial close processes and internal controls.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with ERP accounting systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Able to handle confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
