Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Superintendent will play a crucial role in overseeing assigned projects, ensuring adherence to company policies, budget constraints, and timelines to achieve desired outcomes. This position involves supervising a designated crew, ensuring that projects progress according to established project management practices.
The perfect candidate is an emerging project manager capable of managing multiple projects, including design verification, billing review, and execution oversight.
Specific Duties Include:
- Working under the guidance of a Project Manager.
- Assessing and comprehending project scope and objectives.
- Reviewing new projects and Work Orders for potential issues, conflicts, or omissions, while managing project schedules and workflows.
- Ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Coordinating material logistics and resolving issues as they arise.
- Providing regular project updates and reporting to the managing Project Manager on progress and necessary adjustments.
- Maintaining accurate daily logs and documenting processes with photographs in Buildertrend.
- Scheduling and attending mandatory inspections, promptly addressing any required corrections to minimize delays.
- Managing the change order process, ensuring all changes are documented, approved, and signed by the owner.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in the construction industry.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- 2-5 years of experience in residential construction.
- Familiarity with construction project management software; experience with BuilderTrend is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
