Key Responsibilities

The Lead Estimator will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the estimating functions within our organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying potential projects for bidding and managing the scheduling of estimating staff.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and fostering relationships with trade partners.
  • Collaborating with corporate and project management to develop bidding strategies and techniques.
  • Reviewing and finalizing estimate packages to ensure precision and thoroughness.
  • Participating in client presentations and providing technical support during contract negotiations.
  • Maintaining cost and production archives and developing strong relationships within the construction sector.
  • Completing additional tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of field experience in heavy civil construction and 10 years of estimating experience.
  • Proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid estimating software.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience in sectors such as Wastewater Treatment Plants, Dams, Transportation, and Marine Structures is preferred.
