System Administrator II Wintel Server

Trinity Health is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator II Wintel Server to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of application infrastructure and Wintel servers in a large multi-location environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and support application infrastructure and Wintel servers in a large multi-location environment.
- Provide advanced support for Windows based operating systems to ensure system availability and operability.
- Responsible for Wintel Server technologies, including virtualization concepts and technologies such as VMware/vCenter, physical server hardware, systems management, server automation, replication, and recover processes and technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to resolve cross-departmental problems or issues.
- Recommend changes to servers and operating systems that would improve system performance and recovery.
- Participate in on-call support rotation as specified by management.
- Participate in coaching and mentoring others in their work efforts.
- Research hardware and software industry trends in health care.
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations; the Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program and Code of Conduct; as well as other policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination training and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Technical certifications or MCSE preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in high availability or large multi-location environment comprised of over 5,000 servers) environment supporting Windows based operating systems.
- Extensive knowledge with three (3) or more years of server virtualization, server automation (VMware/vCenter, Hyper V) required.
- Experience supporting HP/Compaq/Dell servers.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Antivirus.
- Knowledge of server management and imaging software such as; MS-SCCM, BMC Blade Logic, Altiris, and Patch Management software HP SIM/One View.
- Experience working with project teams to design and implement new solutions.
- Extensive experience in technical writing and an understanding of records and knowledge management.
- Must be comfortable operating in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
- Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to remain calm, helpful, and productive in all situations.
- Additional skills such as Power Shell scripting, Power CLI VMware is a plus.
Working Conditions
- This position operates in a typical office environment. The area is well-lit, temperature-controlled, and free from hazards.
- Incumbent communicates frequently, in person and over the telephone, with people in a number of different locations on technical issues.
- Manual dexterity is needed in order to operate a keyboard. Hearing is needed for extensive telephone and in-person communications.
- The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects at the same period, and adapt to interruptions.
- Must possess the ability to comply with Trinity Health policies and procedures.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
