The role of the Assistant Manager of Security Services is pivotal in overseeing the daily operations of the Security and Facilities team, ensuring exceptional service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. This position involves assisting with scheduling, payroll management, employee training, and maintaining shift coverage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise staff and manage the daily operations of designated shifts within the Security and Facilities department.
  • Support the Security and Facilities Manager in daily tasks and act as the primary contact in their absence.
  • Assist in creating efficient schedules while monitoring labor costs.
  • Review and authorize departmental payroll, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Contribute to the budget planning process and provide insights, reporting any concerns to the Manager.
  • Ensure that guest service standards are upheld by all team members and address any service-related issues promptly.
  • Facilitate ongoing training for Security and Facilities personnel, focusing on staff development and training initiatives.
  • Implement departmental recognition programs to enhance employee engagement.
  • Enforce internal control policies and procedures effectively.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of a system for issuing temporary access credentials.
  • Document any unusual incidents occurring within the facility that involve the security department.
  • Support the identification and removal of individuals who are required to be excluded from the facility under relevant regulations.
  • Assist in fulfilling duties related to the internal control system as approved.
  • Possess knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, including gaming regulations, OSHA standards, fire codes, and ADA compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all departmental and company matters.
  • Assist with the management of lost and found items located on the property.
  • Perform any other assigned duties as required.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • A Bachelor's degree or four years of experience in security within a high-volume industry, military, or law enforcement is preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary certifications.
  • Completion of all required company training is mandatory.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to inquiries from associates, managers, business partners, and patrons.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and capable of obtaining a Pennsylvania Gaming License.
