Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, this role necessitates comprehensive hands-on evaluation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of our continuous facility operations within Aligned Data Centers. Responsibilities encompass the installation, repair, and maintenance of both critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical systems located throughout the premises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts maintenance, monitoring, and executes preventive, predictive, and corrective upkeep on essential and non-essential equipment.
  • Mechanical responsibilities include the operation and maintenance of various components within the HVAC system, plumbing installation and maintenance, generator operations, fire detection and suppression systems, life safety protocols, temperature control systems, building management systems, and digital systems (including fire alarms, duress systems, card access, and CCTV).
  • Electrical duties involve planning, implementing, coordinating, and overseeing all electrical operations, maintenance, and energy management initiatives for a critical facilities environment. Ensures compliance with all change control processes, approvals, and execution.
  • Responsible for scheduling, development, and quality assurance of all preventive maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general upkeep.
  • Consistently performs all tasks in strict adherence to governing MOP/SOP/ERP procedures and maintenance work instructions.
  • Operates and monitors critical and non-critical system equipment and components. Supervises work efforts (including third-party contractors) to ensure safe and compliant operation, maintenance (both corrective and preventive), and modification of essential equipment. Manages the enabling and disabling of fire alarm control panels and systems.
  • Receives and executes work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance on critical systems and the physical structure of the building. Collaborates with the Facility Manager or Lead CFT to procure necessary materials for all maintenance tasks and complete required documentation in the computerized maintenance management system.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical critical facilities support; or 7+ years of experience as an HVAC or mechanical/electrical technician.
  • Preferred certifications in Electrical/Mechanical fields.
