Job Summary

CSL is seeking a highly skilled Plasma Processing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our plasma processing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of plasma units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to maintain product quality.
  • Ensure plasma units are properly stored according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Verify the accuracy of unit labeling by matching pre-printed labels with dynamic labels.
  • Utilize sterile technique to draw samples and ensure the sterility and quality of plasma unit samples.
  • Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation.
  • Monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures and report any issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct daily calibration of equipment according to SOPs.
  • Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available.
  • Follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
Working Conditions

This is a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. You will be frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens. You will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
