Job Overview

Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and self-driven leader who enjoys outdoor work to assist our residential and commercial tree care teams in the Concord area.

The Foreperson is responsible for guiding their crew(s) in executing daily operations related to tree care services. This encompasses tree removals, pruning, stump grinding, storm damage response, and debris clearance.

This role is a Working Foreperson position, which entails overseeing crew safety and efficiency while also managing time submissions and necessary documentation.

The position involves direct interaction with clients to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the tasks being performed and to guarantee complete customer satisfaction upon job completion.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor field personnel, including training and professional development.
  • Inform property owners of your presence on-site; secure authorization to carry out specified services; discuss matters such as access, power interruptions, and work details with clients and/or property owners.
  • Continuously assess the site for evolving safety conditions and related concerns.
  • Ensure daily tasks are accomplished in alignment with job specifications and client expectations.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company standards, policies, and procedures by yourself and your team.
  • Accountable for all company equipment and materials assigned to you.
  • Record hours and submit daily reports through Arborgold software for yourself and your crew.
  • Evaluate the quality of work and proactively address any issues with the client by inspecting the job site at the end of each day.
  • Supervise the use of equipment and materials, as well as site cleanup.
  • Maintain exceptional customer relations.
  • May be required to follow additional job-related instructions and perform other job-related duties as requested.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in the Tree or Landscape Management Industry is preferred.
  • Previous experience in residential/commercial vegetation management, construction, landscaping, mechanical, or military sectors is advantageous.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Meets and demonstrates qualifications for all positions on a crew.
  • Delegates tasks and takes responsibility for crew performance.
  • Ability to interpret and understand work orders.
  • Experience in the safe operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Capable of adapting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with botanical and common names of trees and plants is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
