Position Overview

Role Summary – Senior Analyst for Identity and Access Management

This role reports directly to the IAM Lead and is responsible for executing IT security functions related to Identity and Access Management (IAM) while overseeing the IAM system. The position aims to enhance the effectiveness and security of access management processes by refining access requirements, user permissions, and authorization activities. The principle of least privilege is enforced through regular reviews and adjustments of user permissions. The analyst will deploy and configure authorization capabilities across the organization with minimal disruption to end users. Collaboration with business and IT teams is essential for the development of access permissions. Regular access reviews and audits will be conducted to improve the accuracy of user permissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide access provisioning and identity governance initiatives.
  • Administer tools within the IAM ecosystem.
  • Assist in the onboarding of client applications.
  • Identify user, business, and functional requirements.
  • Implement and schedule various types of User Entitlement Reviews for applications and databases.
  • Develop and configure custom Segregation of Duties (SOD) policies using established rules.
  • Support IAM functionalities such as user provisioning, lifecycle management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and password management.
  • Create governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with IAM technologies and capabilities, including defining roles and responsibilities.
  • Design group policies and access control lists to ensure alignment with organizational standards and business needs.
  • Facilitate user access reviews and manage privileged access.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee processes that map user access permissions.
  • Utilize tools to configure and deploy authorization capabilities throughout the organization.
  • Manage access rights for systems, applications, and repositories.
  • Establish best practices for access management in relation to cybersecurity and compliance activities.
  • Review and manage entitlements during role updates and creation.
  • Possess experience with IAM tools for integrating business applications, databases, middleware, and operating systems.
  • Demonstrate expertise in identity governance and provisioning with Active Directory, SAP, and SaaS applications.
  • Have a broad understanding of information systems, including Windows, Linux, networking, and databases.
  • Experience in managing user lifecycle events, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies, enterprise role entitlement, provisioning workflows, and access certifications.
  • Develop automation for access, account provisioning, de-provisioning, and access certification functionalities.
  • Create monitoring reports on the health, effectiveness, and efficiency of IAM services.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
  • Alternatively, 8 years of cybersecurity experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven hands-on technical experience in performing IT security functions and maintaining systems.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a collaborative team environment, with a focus on knowledge sharing.
  • Ability to build working relationships with team members, IT management, and client departments.
  • Capability to articulate technical concepts to business users in the context of their requirements.
  • Familiarity with IAM capabilities, practices, and concepts (e.g., user identity lifecycle, Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), access management, SSO, MFA, Privileged Access Management (PAM), etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration, including with HR and IT.
  • Experience in a dynamic environment supporting IAM tool implementations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of IAM tools such as Single Sign-On, LDAP, SAML, OpenID, and OAuth.
