About the Role

The Structural Engineering Manager will lead the structures discipline in Southern California, overseeing multiple engineers in designing, reviewing, and winning new structures work. This key leadership position at RailPros will interface with project managers and technical discipline managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structures work and provide technical leadership
  • Develop new business opportunities and lead proposal efforts for structures work
  • Lead implementation of Quality Program in the structures discipline
  • Assess resource requirements for projects and ensure allocation of the right talent
  • Forecast staffing needs and oversee the hiring process
  • Provide mentoring and career development opportunities for staff
  • Promote employee engagement and ensure a positive work environment
  • Facilitate internal and external training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge of the team
Requirements
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program
  • 10+ years prior structural engineering experience required
  • 3+ years railroad and transit structures design experience including accelerated bridge construction
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards and guidelines
