This department plays a crucial role in managing the post-trade processes and customer account activities. Responsibilities encompass the management of customer accounts, transaction processing, and the oversight of funds and securities.

The Margin and Cashiering division is tasked with the administration and processing of both margined and cash accounts. This includes the evaluation and authorization of requests for funds transfers, checks, and ACH transactions. The team addresses a diverse range of transaction processing inquiries for both retail and institutional clients, which involves account transfers, marginable securities assessment, compliance with FINRA regulations, collection of outstanding funds, fee management, and providing support to brokers and back-office personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute routine tasks under moderate supervision in alignment with departmental and industry standards.
  • Conduct daily reviews and resolve inquiries related to outstanding funds.
  • Authorize disbursement requests received from various offices.
  • Manage and respond to a high volume of email requests and Service Center cases.
  • Engage with offices to address and resolve pending issues.
  • File necessary extensions with regulatory bodies for items that breach regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor and document daily reports, charge-offs, and other compliance-related reports.
  • Complete daily assignments and fulfill regular responsibilities consistently.
  • Support special projects as assigned by supervisors or managers.
  • Collaborate with team members to assist with inquiries, tasks, projects, and planning.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with over one year of office or clerical experience.
  • Familiarity with basic financial industry terminology and market operations is advantageous.
  • Strong customer service orientation with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate information and demonstrate sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient organizational and computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to work accurately while exercising judgment and initiative.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and additional shifts as necessary.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Must obtain FINRA SIE and Series 7 licenses within the first year of employment.
