Job Summary

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our telemetry unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and lead our team in delivering exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiovascular health deficits, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care.
  • Direct the nursing care of unstable patients or patients requiring complex care management, demonstrating clinical problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
  • Assume unit leadership roles, including serving as Charge Nurse, committee leadership, and conducting unit orientation and education.
  • Direct and guide the use of resources for patient care, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Medical/Surgical Nursing, Clinical Team Leader, and charge nurse to develop and implement unit policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate degree nursing program.
  • One year of experience in cardiopulmonary nursing, preferably on a telemetry unit.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation, IV Therapy Certification, Hemodynamics, and Mock Code within 90 days of hire or promotion.
  • NJ State Nursing License and BLS certification.
  • Interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical skills, and basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
