Cardiovascular Technician

Position Summary:
The Cardiovascular Technician is responsible for preparing the Electrophysiology (EPS) Lab and patients for EPS and Pacing procedures. This role involves gathering and compiling data during procedures utilizing computer-generated information, while also providing assistance to nursing staff as needed. The technician will collaborate with physicians and colleagues to perform various diagnostic and interventional procedures within a team-oriented environment. If applicable, the technician will monitor and ensure the safe use of radiation during procedures.
Experience Requirements:
- Required: 1-3 years of experience in Radiology or a procedural setting.
- Preferred: 1-3 years of prior experience in Electrophysiology or Catheterization Lab, including EKG interpretation and scrub experience.
Educational Qualifications:
- Required: Graduation from an accredited two-year Radiological or Cardiovascular Program, or RCIS or RCES certification.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Required: Valid New Jersey Radiology Technologist License ARRT, if applicable.
- Preferred: ARRT (CV), CVT, or RCIS certification.
Essential Skills:
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
This is a full-time position with day shifts, requiring 64 hours per pay period, and no weekend work.
