YMCA International Services is a unique branch of the YMCA of Greater Houston that serves Houston's refugee and immigrant communities. As a Resettlement Clerk, you will play a vital role in helping refugees and immigrants access social support services and become self-sufficient.
Key Responsibilities- Support Resettlement Case Managers by following up on benefits applications and ensuring they are complete for processing.
- Provide documentation to the Benefits Office as requested and enter case notes and copies of documentation into the program database and client case files.
- Assess 30-day review notations for completion at 60 days and report suspicious behaviors and policy violations.
- Meet deadlines related to supporting systems and employee compliance.
- 100% of 60-day file reviews are completed within a timeline established by the supervisor.
- Accurate data entry reflected between case files and database.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- High School Diploma and relevant professional experience.
- Previous experience with benefits applications preferred.
