Position Summary
The Manager of Electrical Ground Support Equipment Engineering is responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems that facilitate the testing and advancement of spacecraft and related products at Millennium. This position entails overseeing equipment utilized for various testing phases, including qualification, acceptance, and functional assessments, in alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and optimize processes within the EGSE team, establishing a transparent development workflow
- Develop analytical tools for cost and scheduling assessments related to EGSE system development
- Offer mentorship and training to EGSE personnel, promoting their professional growth
- Manage EGSE team members, including conducting performance reviews and assigning tasks
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the EGSE development lifecycle
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address engineering, programmatic, and manufacturing requirements
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for existing products to support proposals and ongoing programs
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Practical experience with electrical testing equipment and systems
- Eligibility to obtain U.S. Security Clearance
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with satellite operations and network configurations
- Experience in product qualification and environmental testing for spacecraft
- Proficiency in LabVIEW and MRP systems
